Hello and a very happy Friday to everyone!!
I hope everyone had a good and productive summer. I apologize for my absence the past couple of months, medical issues kept me from just about everything but at long last things are finally starting to look up once more. Now that I’m feeling like my old self again I’m more than willing to take the bull by the horns and get back to work.
As it would happen, my reappearance falls within the arrival of a new quarter. In my opinion it is the grandest quarter of all, though my opinion may be a touch biased seeing as how I love Autumn so much. Regardless, onward with the goals!
Autumn Quarter (September - November)
September Goals
Prepare things for Preptober
October might be twenty-four days away but with it Preptober begins. I put just as much work into Preptober as I do NaNoWriMo as I see Preptober as my stepping stones through NaNoWriMo. That almost goes double for this year as I am determined to reach my goal this time around.
Read four books
I have a pretty good idea as to a couple of the books that shall be making my list this month but as for the remaining two, well I guess I’ll just be playing ee-nee-me-nee-my-nee-mo with my TBR. Reading is always an adventure and much like the wind, you never know where it’s going to take you.
Do two crafts
Unfortunately I haven't been able to do any crafts in such a long time but it’s something I miss and I am excited to get back into. This, of course, means a trip to the craft store!
Add four recipes to my cookbook
It’s that time of year again where I get to pull out my crockpot and see what wonderful dishes there are to make. Soups, entrees, desserts, and more! It’s going to be a fun couple of seasons.
Exercise an hour a day
This, another thing I’ve slacked off on and yet another thing I am determined to work back into my schedule. I can’t do anything too strenuous until further notice but I’m hoping to work in some light cardio along with picking up Tai Chi again. I’ll just have to see how things go from there though I'm notorious for pushing myself so hopefully I don’t end up breaking.
Organize photos
I was honestly hoping to have this done months ago but as long as I get it taken care of before the New Year everything will be okay.
Begin Christmas preparations
I know it seems WAY too early to be thinking about Christmas and believe me I agree. I’m definitely more of a Halloween person rather than a Christmas person but my family is actually coming into town this Christmas. I am a planner in all aspects of my life so it’s time to start planning and getting decorations, as well as planning and beginning the task of getting gifts. Maybe, just MAYBE I’ll make it through this holiday season.
Enjoy my Anniversary
In three days my husband and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The original plan was to go spend the weekend at the beach but hurricane Dorian threw a wrench into those plans. Now it’s stay-cation time and trying to make the most of things at home. Wish me luck.
And there we have it. I know it doesn’t seem like much but given that I’m only just getting back into the swing of things I think it’s a nice start. Hopefully the result won’t be that I’ve bitten off more than I can chew but I’m nothing if not determined.
Do you have any goals for this month?
Until next week my lovelies!
~*~ Happy reading and writing to all and to all a good day ~*~
