What Are You Writing?

Hello and welcome on this exciting Friday!

This is the final Friday before the kick off to NaNoWriMo. All the preparations that this month has brought were leading us to this moment. The day after tomorrow begins one of the most stressful times of the year for writers.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions recently about what my NaNoWriMo project will be this year. It’s changed around a lot so i figured why not cover it here. Besides, it’s a little added accountability if all of you know and I end up falling flat on my face.

This NaNoWriMo will be unlike any other I have done before. Not only have I planned more than ever but I am also working on three separate projects. I know, I’m insane.

Over the last three years I have dedicated my time entirely to one novel and with each passing year I fail to reach that 50,000 goal. Granted my WIPs have come a far way from the words I have accomplished in that time but I want to know what that 50,000 tastes like, just once.

So this year my plan is to work on my main three projects.

I will be beginning the editing process for Reaper. This is something I have put off for a while seeing as the story is very dark and the state of the world right now isn’t much better so it was best for my mental health to step away from it for a while. Now I’m finally ready to begin the editing process so that word count is bound to grow.

I’ll also be aiming to finish up my Pirate Story. I only have about 20,000 words left of that WIP to get through until I can put it aside for a little while before editing.

Lastly I will be starting the newest addition to my WIP line up, The Queen’s Guard. Originally I intended to work on Fire and Ice but Scrivener randomly opened one of my old files one day and I was re-captivated by this old idea. I’ve been on a kick with new adult books lately so hopefully I’ll be returning to Fire and Ice by April.

Each of these stories has their own overall word goal I’m hoping to reach during NaNoWriMo as well as separate daily goals as well. I really hope this is my year to make it all the way but honestly I’ll be happy with whatever I manage to pump out. Now you know just what it is I’m setting my sights on this November, I hope to see you all along for the journey!

Until next week!

✿ Happy reading and writing to all and to all a good day ✿
