Hello, a merry Friday and a very happy Christmas everyone!
I promise this shall be the last tag I do for the year but seriously I just love doing tags and as it’s Christmas what better way to celebrate?
This tag was created by Megan Tennant to go along with the Indiecember challenge. I’ll be leaving a link to her video covering the rules and her own answer.s.
The rules are simple, each number on this board corresponds to a question. Using a number generator, answer said question and mark off the space.
Time to get this party started!
24.
Bookish Christmas Tree
How tall is your current TBR? Bonus points if it’s an Indiecember TBR.
Ummmm...are exact number required? *sigh* give me a few minutes...
There are currently 51 books in my TBR with that number ever growing. Each book is like a head of the Hydra, I finish one book and two replace it.
12.
Winter Solstice
What is one of your favorite novellas or short stories?
My favorite novella is Max Stops the Press by Colleen Gleason for the very reason that t’s the perfect wrap to the original series and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
4
Santa IS real
What’s a book you loved as a young child?
The first book I can ever remember falling completely in love with is The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams.
16
Glitter
What’s a book that was hard to shake off? One that stuck with you long after finishing?
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr is one of the only books to ever stay with me the way this book has.
10
Comfy and cozy
What’s your favorite place and position to read in?
My favorite place to read would be on the couch or in bed as those places make it easiest on my favorite positions, sitting up or laying down.
10
First double of the night.
11
Christmas miracle
What’s a book or series that you really didn’t like at the beginning but it turned around and surprised you?
The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. I really wasn’t too into it in the beginning and really only chose to read it so that I could watch the movie but it ended up being really good. I’m not the biggest fan of Catching Fire but Mockingjay is one of my favorite books.
Another series would be The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I honestly started this series as a way to get My Wendy to stop bugging me about it. I wasn’t really too into it in the beginning but pushed through the first book and really ended up enjoying the series. I’m looking into getting the spin off series next.

Another double

Gift boxes
Gift boxes come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Name a book with a diverse cast!
The Savior’s Champion and it’s companion The Savior’s Sister are two of the most diverse books I’ve ever read, not to mention it’s also one of my favorite books as well!

Not one double
16
But TWO!
18.
Snowball fight
What characters would have the most epic snowball fight? They can be from the same book or different books.
On team one we have: Fred Weasley (Harry Potter), Legolas (Lord of the Rings), Leila (The Savior’s Champion), and Alice Cullen (Twilight saga)
And on team two: Lucy Pevensie (The Chronicles of Narnia), Blake Leaf (Dragonian Series), Dimitri Belikov (The Vampire Academy series), and Howl Pendragon (Howl’s Moving Castle)
Let the battle BEGIN!
17.
Resolutions
Did you have any reading goals this year? How did you do?
My goal was to read at least four books a month. Some months I fell short but all-in-all I have done pretty well at keeping to my goal and I’m happy with the way things have gone.
6.
Let it snow
Show us a book with snow or ice on the cover. If you can’t find one, then a book with a primarily white cover.
Frostbite by Adrienne Woods
11
Oh look, another double
15.
Fruitcake
The thickest, densest book you own. Bonus points if it isn’t by George RR Martin
I’m not sure if that would be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or The Guardians of Hytheria: Walking the Path of Destiny.
8.
Old Ornament
A tattered, beat up book you can’t throw away because memories.
I know I’ve mentioned it a lot at this point but oh well. My copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the most beaten up book I have due to a run in with a dog it suffered. I want to replace it and eventually will but I will never get rid of my copy because my dad got it for me.
3.
Star on the tree
What’s a book with a cover so fine, you’d duct tape it to the Christmas tree?
I can’t really say. Covers are a very visual thing and it’s hard for me to look in depth at something like that.
12
And another
16
And yet another
9
Artificial Tree
Do you read ebooks? If so, what’s your favorite e-reader device?
Yes I read ebooks. They were never my preferred form of reading but when I became visually impaired they, along with audiobooks, were what allowed me to continue reading.
My favorite e-reader device is my iPad because I have access to iBooks, Kindle, NOOK, and Audible so it’s four devices in one so for me it’s the perfect device.
20.
Three Kings
Show us three books with titles containing King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Crown, or Throne.
19
Ugly sweater
What’s a book that you love that’s hidden under a cover that you don’t love?
The cinematic cover of New Moon. Through my teenage years I was a huge Twilight fan, New Moon having been my favorite. That being said, I’m just not fond of the cinematic cover but then again I’m not fond of any book with a cinematic cover. It’s just my preference.
BINGO!!!!
There were quite a few moments when I thought I had it but the numbers just weren’t in my favor today. Maybe next year I’ll do the writer version of this tag but we’ll just have to wait and see.
Now it’s time I go and enjoy the holiday with my family.
Until next year my friends!
📚 Happy reading and writing to all and to all a good day 📚
