Indiecember

Hello and an exciting welcome on this first December Friday!

December is normally the month I take a break from everything and just enjoy the holidays. For the last two years I’ve been doing just that with the added pleasure of partaking in Indiecember. This year is no different.

For those of you who don’t know, Indiecember is a month long event giving some love and much deserved recognition to indie authors and their wonderful book babies.

Think of it like the polar opposite of NaNoWriMo where instead of writing words you get to read them.

During Indiecember you have a bingo card that you fill in by reading books corresponding to specific spaces and leaving reviews on amazon or goodreads. There are two styles of play, traditional and flush.

Despite my extensive Indiecember prepping TBR, I will not be going for flush this year. I have a lot more on my plate this month than I originally thought so i shall be taking it easy this go round. Nonetheless I will still be embracing the Indiecember spirit whole heartedly.

In the meantime today I wanted to take the chance to go over my 2020 Indiecember TBR!

Like I mentioned before, I’m aiming for a more traditional board this year so there aren’t as many books on this list as years past.

Silo by Jay J Falconer (Silver or Gold)

The Witches Key by Sarra Cannon (Released in 2020)

The Dark Wood by Sydney Mann (Chosen by a Friend)

A lot of these books are out of my usual genre but I’m excited to give them all a try. I have already finished one of them so I would say Indiecember is off to a good start. Now there is more reading and decorating to be done so I’ll be seeing you all next time!
